AN INTERVIEW WITH KARA FORSYTHE OF FORMAN PICTURE FRAMING - paulaglazebrook

You’ll find Forman Picture Framing’s work in many a Melbourne home. Highly regarded for their amazing collection of artwork and customised framing, we decided to find out more about the dynamo behind this highly successful business….

Name:
Hello paulaglazebrook! My name is Kara Forsythe.
Home is:
My home is where I get to enjoy time with my family. It's also where I feel most relaxed.
Describe yourself in 5 words:
I am uncensored (insert expletives), over sensitive, loving, loyal and a coffee addict.
What do you do?
I am self employed in Forman Picture Framing, a picture framing and art business. I manage our showroom and social media (and a million other things as all self employed people would relate to).
How did you get into this field of work?
My husband has been a picture framer for many years and we thought if we combined our skills we could make it work. I am now a trained picture framer also but mostly manage our retail and consultancy area.
What is the best thing about your job?
The absolute best thing about my job is discovering and supporting emerging artists. I love this part of my job. It is a newly found passion since extending our business over the last 18 months.
What is your favourite paulaglazebrook product & why?
Now, where do I start with paulaglazebrook... Such an awesome range of products and so well curated. I'd have to say that the most used things I've purchased are the Cross Bowls (in all sizes and multiples). However, I'm dying to start wearing my new wool scarf. It's so soft and fine. I think it will be a winter fave for sure!
We highly recommend visiting the Forman Picture Framing Showroom located at 20 Burwood Hwy, Burwood and following their great Instagram account @formanpictureframing
